Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes
Get ready for a day packed with exploration! We’ll pick you up from your hotel and start with a visit to the magnificent Hassan II Mosque. Then, it’s off to Rabat, where you can delve into the history at the Mechouar of the Royal Palace, the Chellah ruins, the Mohammed V Mausoleum, and the iconic Hassan Tower. After a satisfying lunch, our journey continues to Meknes, arriving in the early evening. Let the adventure unfold!
Day 2: Meknes – Volubilis – Fez
Fuel up with breakfast before we embark on a tour of Meknes, exploring its highlights like El Hedim Square, the impressive Bab El Mansour gate, and the historic Jewish quarter. Don’t miss the Royal Granaries and the city ramparts, each holding tales of Meknes’s rich past. Next, we’ll journey through Volubilis, marveling at its Roman ruins, and Moulay Idriss, a sacred town. Our adventure culminates in Fez, where we’ll dine and unwind in the cozy ambiance of a traditional riad.
Day 3: Fez
Get ready for an immersive guided tour of Fez’s enchanting medina and renowned souks! Lose yourself in the labyrinth of narrow cobbled streets, adorned with ancient mosques and towering green-glazed minarets. Explore the city’s most magnificent palaces and monuments, soaking in the rich history and culture of Fez. Our journey will also take us to the tannery and the ceramic cooperative, where you’ll witness traditional Moroccan crafts in action. It’s a day filled with discovery and wonder!
Day 4: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga
After breakfast, we’ll set off for Merzouga, journeying through the captivating Middle Atlas region. Our route takes us through Ifrane, often called the ‘Switzerland’ of Morocco, and the scenic cedar forests of Azrou, where we can pause to hand-feed the friendly monkeys. Next, we’ll reach Midelt, where a delicious lunch awaits. Continuing our adventure, we’ll trace the path of the Ziz River through the valley, with a stop to admire the breathtaking Ziz Gorges before reaching our destination in Merzouga.
Day 5: Merzouga – Khamlia – Erg Chebbi
Today, prepare to immerse yourself in the mesmerizing landscape of the Erg Chebbi desert dunes. We’ll embark on a circuit through the desert, offering glimpses into the nomadic way of life and the ever-changing contrasts of this remarkable terrain. Our journey includes a visit to the ‘black village’ of Khamlia, where you can experience the soulful rhythms of Gnawa music. For lunch, we’ll indulge in a traditional Berber pizza at the camp of the Hassan family. Later in the afternoon, we’ll ride camels to witness the breathtaking sunset over the dunes, culminating in a night spent in the heart of the desert camp. As darkness falls, savor a delicious traditional tagine dinner, sip on refreshing mint tea, and bask in the enchanting ambiance of Berber music under the starry Saharan sky. It’s an experience you won’t soon forget.
Day 6: Merzouga –Rissane – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges
Rise and shine! We’ll wake up bright and early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the dunes before heading back to the hotel riad for a refreshing breakfast and shower. Our journey continues as we visit the vibrant Rissane market and traverse the palm-lined valleys of Tourog and Tinjdad en route to the Todra Gorge. Here, we’ll take a leisurely walk through the stunning Todra Gorges and enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards, we’ll make our way to our accommodation in the Dades Gorge, where we’ll unwind and soak in the beauty of our surroundings.
Day 7: Dades Gorge – El Kelaa Magona – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Post-breakfast, we’ll embark on a scenic walk through the gorge, then venture off-road to explore the nomad caves. Our journey continues through El Kelaa Magona, the Valley of the Roses, and the picturesque Skoura oasis. En route to Marrakech, we’ll visit the film studios in Ouarzazate and the iconic Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. As night falls, we’ll settle into a local hotel or riad near Jamma el Fna square, immersing ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere of Marrakech.
Day 8: Marrakech
Get ready for an enriching guided tour to uncover the diverse charms of Marrakech. We’ll wander through the labyrinthine alleys of the Medina, immersing ourselves in its renowned Souks. Along the way, we’ll explore the most magnificent palaces and monuments that Marrakech has to offer, unveiling the city’s rich history and vibrant culture. It’s a journey filled with discovery and wonder!
Day 9: Marrakech – Casablanca
Today you will be dropped off for departure at Casablanca airport.
