Day 1: Fez – Midelt – Merzouga desert

Next stop: Azrou, a charming Berber village nestled in Morocco’s largest cedar forest. Then, it’s off to Midelt, renowned for its minerals and refreshing summer climate. We’ll trace the enchanting Ziz Valley, exploring Erfoud and its fossil treasures along the way. In Rissani, delve into the vibrant local souk scene and savor a taste of Berber pizza. As the afternoon fades, we’ll reach Merzouga desert, where a cozy desert hotel awaits for a memorable night’s stay.
Day 2: Merzouga desert 4×4 tour and camel trekking
Today’s adventure in Merzouga kicks off with a thrilling 4×4 exploration. We’ll first visit the village of Khamlia, where you can immerse yourself in the mesmerizing rhythms of Gnawa music. Then, it’s off to marvel at the Sahara dunes, circling around Erg Chebbi for an unforgettable experience. The afternoon is yours to enjoy the Sahara dunes at your leisure. Try your hand at quad biking, sandboarding, or perhaps indulge in a relaxing sand bath during the summer months. As night falls, we’ll retreat to our desert hotel for a peaceful overnight stay.
Day 3: Merzouga desert tour + camel trekking
Today, we delve deeper into the wonders of the Erg Chebbi desert. Our journey includes a visit to nomadic communities, offering insight into their way of life. During your free time, thrill-seekers can experience the exhilaration of sand-boarding down towering dunes. As evening descends, we’ll gather to savor traditional Berber cuisine infused with the soulful melodies of Sahara music. Our night is spent once more under the vast desert sky, nestled in comfortable desert tents amidst the tranquility of the Sahara.
Day 4: Merzouga desert – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges
Rise early to witness the breathtaking desert sunrise from atop a high dune, then embark on a camel trek back to our hotel in Merzouga. After breakfast and a refreshing shower, our private Morocco tour resumes as we journey towards Rissani and Erfoud, where we’ll explore a fossil marble factory and browse local shops. Passing through Tinjdad and Tinghir, we’ll arrive at our next destination: the majestic Todra Gorge, a haven for climbers. Enjoy some free time to discover its wonders at your own pace. In the afternoon, we press on to the Dades Gorges, where a delightful dinner and a restful overnight stay await at a charming local riad or hotel.
Day 5: Dades Gorges – Ouarzazatte – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Today, our journey takes us to Marrakech via Ouarzazate, renowned for its movie studios and historic kasbahs. At Ait Ben Haddou, explore the iconic village and kasbah, a backdrop for numerous famous films. As we traverse the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n Tichka mountain pass, soak in the stunning scenery. Upon arrival in Marrakech, we’ll drop you off at your hotel before diving into the vibrant medina for an unforgettable exploration of Marrakech’s bustling streets.
Day 6: Marrakech
Today, our private Morocco tour unfolds in Marrakech. Depending on your schedule, we’ll uncover the gems of the Medina, from the iconic Koutoubia Minaret to the historic Saadian Tombs and majestic Bahia Palace. Don’t miss the tranquil beauty of the Menara Gardens and the vibrant colors of the Majorelle Gardens in the modern Gueliz district, where trendy restaurants and cafes abound.
