Tour Description

Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen – Fez

We’ll be delighted to greet you either at the airport or your hotel, and from there, our journey begins as we traverse the scenic Rif mountains en route to Tetouan city. Prepare to be captivated by the breathtaking views of the mountains as we make our way towards Chefchaouen, one of the most picturesque villages in Morocco.

Nestled amidst the Rif mountains, Chefchaouen enchants visitors with its charming blue-washed buildings and Spanish-style square. Take your time to explore the quaint streets of the medina, where vibrant hues of blue paint a mesmerizing picture against the backdrop of the mountains. Be sure to ascend to the rooftop terraces for panoramic views that will leave you in awe.

For lunch, we’ll treat you to a delightful meal at one of the terraces, allowing you to savor local cuisine while soaking in the stunning surroundings. Afterward, we’ll continue our journey towards Fez city, where we’ll settle in for the night.

Day 2: Fez – Ifrane – Ziz Gorges – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga

On the second day of our tour, we’ll pick you up from your Hotel or Riad in Fez and begin our journey southwards towards Ifrane, Azrou, and other charming Berber villages nestled amidst the Middle Atlas mountains. Along the way, you’ll be treated to stunning views of diverse landscapes, each more breathtaking than the last.

Our first stop will be at the cedar forest, where you’ll have the opportunity to observe the Barbary Apes in their natural habitat, a truly memorable experience. Continuing on, we’ll traverse the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt, taking in panoramic views of the Middle-Atlas plateau and the remarkable Ziz Gorges, carved intricately through volcanic rock.

As we journey through the Ziz valley towards Erfoud, Rissani, and the iconic sand dunes of Merzouga, you’ll witness the gradual transition of the landscape into the desert terrain. Upon arrival, we’ll pause for a refreshing glass of mint tea before dropping off our luggage and preparing for a unique experience.

Camels will be awaiting us to embark on a mesmerizing trek to a Berber camp nestled amidst the towering Erg Chebbi Sand Dunes. Stretching 20 km in length and 5 km in width, these dunes are among the highest in North Africa, offering a truly unparalleled environment to explore.

The camel trek will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the authentic nomadic Berber lifestyle. Upon arrival at the camp, you’ll find it well-equipped with comfortable mattresses, blankets, and cushions, ensuring a restful night under the stars.

After a delicious dinner, we’ll gather around the fire to enjoy the tranquil ambiance of the desert night, perhaps accompanied by the rhythmic beats of traditional Berber drums. It promises to be an unforgettable experience, steeped in culture and natural beauty.

Day 3: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

In the morning, we’ll rise early to witness the breathtaking spectacle of the sunrise casting its golden hues across the vast expanse of the dunes. After soaking in this magical moment, we’ll embark on a peaceful camel ride back to the hotel, allowing you to savor the tranquility of the desert one last time.

Following a refreshing break and a hearty breakfast, we’ll bid farewell to the enchanting desert landscape and set off for Tinghir and the Todra Gorges. Here, you’ll be awed by the towering cliffs and dramatic rock formations that form this impressive natural wonder.

Continuing our journey, we’ll arrive in the picturesque Dades Valley, where we’ll indulge in a delicious dinner and settle in for the night. Amidst the serene surroundings of the valley, you’ll have the opportunity to relax and unwind, reflecting on the unforgettable experiences of the day.

Day 4: Dades Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate- Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After a satisfying breakfast, we’ll embark on a scenic journey through the captivating Dades Valley towards Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate, with planned breaks along the way to appreciate the stunning vistas and capture memorable photographs. This route, known as the “Way of Thousand Kasbahs,” offers a glimpse into Morocco’s rich cultural and architectural heritage.

Our first stop will be the Roses valley and the charming Skoura village, where you’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty of the surroundings and learn about local traditions.

Next, we’ll arrive in Ouarzazate, often referred to as “the Hollywood of Africa.” Here, we’ll indulge in a delightful lunch at the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage site. After exploring this historic landmark, we’ll continue our journey through the majestic Tizi nTichka pass, which reaches an impressive altitude of 2260m over the High Atlas Mountains.

Along the way, we’ll pause to admire the breathtaking views and visit an argan oil cooperative, where you’ll discover the traditional methods of producing this prized oil. Finally, we’ll arrive in Marrakech late afternoon, where you’ll have the opportunity to unwind and reflect on the day’s adventures in this vibrant city.
